I am interested in moving to a computerized mount sometime. I don't know if I should go for it now or wait a while. I'm still trying to convince Mom to purchase the telescope. - Caden

This is a great scope and could be great for you. Are you thinking the computerized mount or the manual one? The manual one would be similar to how you have used the Dobsonian, where the GoTo mount is an equatorial mount with a computerized hand controller.

I am wondering if this would be a good next scope for me or would something else be better? - Caden

I am selling my Orion 6” Ritchey-Chretien f/9 Telescope. It is only 1 ½ years old, and in excellent condition. I am selling as I have upgraded to a new more powerful scope. It sells new for $699, and I have added a mounting bar on top and a 90 degree mirror to allow for visual observing, as well as a 25mm eyepiece. Here is a video about the scope:

I am selling it with one of the two following mounts. One is a computerized GoTo Mount (2 years old) with a hand controller to look up objects and point the scope. The other is a Manual Alt/Az mount (Never Used) for manually tracking as you visually observe.

The GoTo mount (Skywatcher HEQ5 Pro) sells new for $1475
The Alt/Az (Explore Scientific Twilight Alt/Az) sells for $350

Orion scope with the Skywatcher HEQ5 Mount: $1300

Orion scope with the Alt/Az: $650

A couple of images I have taken using the GoTo Rig:
