First Principles of Astrophotography
– presented by
Richard S. Wright, Jr.
, Award-winning Astrophotographer

Astrophotography is perhaps the most technical, yet rewarding, kind of photography you can engage in. This presentation is for anyone who is doing astrophotography already, or who is just curious about getting started. There are many misconceptions and counter intuitive principles that can lead you astray when making your first equipment purchases, or expectations that can leave you frustrated. Experienced imagers as well can sometimes find themselves unable to progress due to a simple misunderstanding of an idea they misunderstood when they got started. Excellent results can be had even with modest equipment when you understand some basic foundational principles.
